PEPVT - Design Team

As Structures Lead during the 2021-2022 season, I guided the Structures team in manufacturing the fiberglass body of the hull and top hatch that I had designed for the team during my freshman year.

This included adding layers of fiberglass to connect the bottom and top half of the body that had a fiberglass layup done on top of the foam molds of each part that were cut into a foam mold using a large CNC machine. Electronics and hardware were then connected to the body.

Unfortunately, one ESC caught fire during testing, however the body is still intact, and this year we will spend more time perfecting the electronics and making the hull more rigid for the choppy waters of Baltimore where we will compete in the PEP competition hosted by the American Society of Naval Engineers.
